Events in July 2026

Pleased to announce two further talks about the 2/5h Sherwood Foresters this July, which should coincide with the publication of the second volume of Sherwood Boys, due out on 30th June.

The first will be at Chellaston Library, Derby on Friday 3 July at 2pm – 3pm, as part of their programme to support their National Year of Reading programme.

Chellaston is south of Derby and just three miles from the site of the old Regimental depot at Normanton Barracks (pictured above), sadly demolished in the 1980s.

On Thursday 9 July I am going to be at Newark Book Festival. It is their tenth anniversary this year, and very excited that they have invited me to talk on the opening day of the festival. It will be in the Newark Library Meeting Room from 1.30-2.30pm, with a book signing at the end. You can book tickets for the talk here
